This summer can die for all I care!!

Wow!! Can I just tell you. I am not usually one to complain on my blog (just in real life). But honestly, sometimes things seem a little to much and I think I am at that little to much point!!

So far this summer.......

week one.. Trevor wakes up way sick, has to go to the doctor, has strep throat. Shot....all fixed done!

week two.. I already blogged about it, Shelby and her lovely stitches.

week three... We actually had a nice little vacation to St. George....I will blog about it, with pics, i will!!

week four... had to take my glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes, now have to take the 3 hour test since it came back high. Brett broke his arm!! and now I have strep. 10 days of antibiotics for me.. not to mention I feel like CRAP!!

The hardest part in all of this is that my parents left to go into the MTC on Wednesday and actually are flying to Mexico right now was we speak. I have not had my mom to talk to at my beckon call!! This has been really difficult!! I know it will be a great thing, but it is not easy for anyone!! We met at a park for a few hours yesterday to say good-bye. It was rough. I admit that I am a baby, but wow, 3 years is a long time!!

Here is to hoping the rest of this summer improves.. I guess it can't get much worse.

Shelby's stitches out

Here she is!! No stitches!! It actually looks pretty good. The doctor said he thought this would heal well. I am so glad! She has been such a trooper!
For some reason the doctor thought she would like to keep her stitches (kind of odd I know) he put them on this tongue depressor and then put tape over them. Kind of weird, but whatever. Anyway, after we left the doctors office we had to stop at Walmart. Shelby asked if she could bring her stitches in the store with us. She always asks if she can bring stuff in the store and often I tell her no because "I don't want them to think you stole them" After asking if she could bring the stitches in I told her that would probably be ok. Then Shelby said, "yeah, I don't think Walmart sells stitches on a stick." It made me laugh. I just love her!!

Trevor's Baptism

Yesterday was a fabulous day! Trevor was baptized by his dad. It was such a great day, with so much of our family there. Trevor is really a great kid!!

On the other hand, today was not such a great day!! We were getting ready for church this morning. I was in the tub and Jared had just worked the night shift and was sleeping. As I was sitting in the tub I heard all kinds of commotion. Jared then came and yelled through the bathroom door that Shelby was hurt and we needed to go to the hospital. I threw on my clothes and went to see what was wrong. She had hit her head on the dresser and had a gaping hole in her head. I tell you what, even though I am a nurse, it is a whole different story when it is your own kid. I freaked out!! We had to go and get 10 stitches put in her head. It was sad... I wish I had taken a picture of her dress it was of course way bloody and we just took her that way. The best part is when she told the doctor she looked like a vampire!! This girl cracks me up. She is just always keeping it real! I love the way she posed for her picture.. I am glad she is ok, but I did not love that experience!

Happy Birthday and Congrats!!

It was Brett's 11th birthday!! He is growing up so fast, it is hard to believe! We let him stay home from school (even though it was the second to the last day of school) We took him to lunch at smashburger Yum--OO!! He got this bike for his birthday and is very excited about it. Hopefully it will give him something to do during the summer.
What a handsome chap..if I do say so myself!!
My sweet little baby (for a little while anyway) She will be in Kindergarten next year. Crazy!!
Shelby and her teacher Miss Katie. They did so many fun things this year. It has been a great school year all the way around. It is hard to believe I will be having this baby a month after they go back to school. The summer always flies!!

Happy Birthday Trevor!

It was my 3rd child's birthday a few days ago. This boy is as sweet as they come!! I just love him to death. For his birthday he wanted a Nintendo DSi. I had told him and told him that that was to much money and that he would not be getting that for his birthday. We surprised him BIG time. He was SO excited when he opened up his presents and he indeed got a DSi!! His reaction was priceless. He deserves it. Such a great kid. We love you Trevor!!

Some great news!!

I know the three of you that read my blog already know that we are expecting another baby, but there may be a few that don't. It is actually a pretty neat story that I wanted to share.

When Shelby (my youngest) was about a year old we were playing at the park. I saw a little boy running across the play ground and I had a feeling that there was another little boy that needed to come to our family. I immediately put that out of my mind and could not believe the insanity of the crazy thought!! We were absolutely DONE having kids! I had 4! 2 boys and 2 girls. About as perfect as you could get, NO stinkin' way I was having another. You could ask anyone, I had told them. I told Jared about this ridiculous thought that had crossed my mind and we both laughed.

I started nursing school. With 4 kids, going through nursing school, another baby was the furthest thing from my mind; but a funny thing happened, after I finished, I started to think about it a little bit. I still was not going to have another one, but I have to admit the idea did creep into my mind every now and again. Then the dreams started. I had several dreams that I had another baby BOY. This really got me thinking. I thought about it, but once again, NO WAY!! This went on for several years. It would come into my mind, I would think about it a little bit and then it would go away and I would move on. Jared was not at all on board with the idea of another. He had not had these dreams, but he told me if I felt we needed to we could. I would immediately say no, the last thing I wanted was for him to not want one, but do it just cause I did.

Finally, this last winter we had an awesome experience at church.. I won't go into that, but I just know the Lord is aware of us. We knew we were supposed to have another baby. This was not an easy decision seeing that my baby is 5. I, however, knew that I would never regret having another child, but I would regret NOT having one. We found out in January that we were expecting and then yesterday,,,,,,,The best news of all.......This baby, the one that had filled my dreams for the past 4 years, is indeed a boy! And NO one is more excited than his daddy!
