We had two weddings this weekend. Jared's sister got married on Friday and my brother got married on Saturday. When Jared's sister threw the bouquet on Friday I asked Shelby if she wanted to try and catch it. She did not know what was going on and said no. She then asked me what that was all about. I told her that the bride throws the bouquet and it is supposed to mean that whoever catches it will get married next.
I guess that sounded pretty good to her because at my brothers wedding reception, she was ready to catch that bouquet. She had been waiting all night. When she went to throw it Shelby was right there in the front waiting to catch it and she was SO nervous. The bouquet was thrown and Shelby did not get it. Her hands immediately went over her eyes and she started to cry. Luckily the girl that caught it saw that and took it right over to Shelby and gave it to her. Shelby was so relieved that she would now be able to get married...apparently she thought if she didn't catch that she would be alone forever. She has been carrying around the flowers all weekend. So CUTE!!
