wasting time at work

You know that it is going to be a long night at work when you are looking at the clock and it is only 9:30. This means I have, oh....9 hours left. No big deal. Tonight I am orienting someone. This basically means I can just sit here all night. Yes, she is doing all my work. Doesn't get much easier then that. I am getting way excited to leave for Hawaii in a couple of days especially cause it was 6 degrees this morning.. which is PURE insanity.

I just wanted to update on Brett's game last week. He had another great game with 20 points. I am just so proud of him. He really does a great job and enjoys it. I just really love to watch his games. As excited as I am to go to Hawaii, we will be missing 2 of his games and that will be a little hard. I think I will see if someone can record them for me.

Trevor also started his "camp" he is just such a funny kid. He has such intensity and just loves to play anything competitive, however, you have to watch that kid because he tends to get a little mad at times.

I am going to be MIA while in Hawaii...I really don't want to worry about anything. There for I will have to update when I return, pictures and all. So long friends.

First Jr. Jazz game

Ok..So Brett had his first Jr jazz game. Since this is my blog and I make the rules I say I can brag, and brag I will. He did AWESOME!! I was so dang proud of him. He had 30 points. Now you may think, wow, he must have shot 14 million times. This was not the case he took very smart shots and just did so well. He also played great defense. There was one boy on the other team that was doing a great job as well. Brett was assigned to defend him, Brett held him to only one basket while he was defending him. He is a little hustler and a scrapper.. I love it!!

You have to understand how much our family enjoys basketball. We watch every Jazz game and look forward to them all. Trevor starts Thursday, he is doing more of a camp. That will be fun for him. Saturday mornings are going to be fun for the next little while. I will update with each game~ Great job Brett!!

Fun things to look forward to..

Now that the holidays are over, I feel like I can focus on other things. I am so excited for a few things that are coming up. First, Jr Jazz starts this Saturday. Brett and Trevor are SO excited for this. Joquelle doesn't love to play so much, but does enjoy watching.. This may change, who knows. We went last night and bought them new basketball shoes. They keep trying them on to see how they fit and brag about how well they are going to do with "their shoes". I love to watch them play. It is a fun family thing to do on Saturdays. Second, in just over 2 weeks my husband and I are going to none other than Hawaii..!! Yea, I love Hawaii. We are going with some of my family. I have to say that the thought of going and laying on the beach with the weather that we are dealing with right now, could not come fast enough!! It will be so much fun.

I am planning on running a half marathon in April with my sister and brother. This will be fun and challenging. I have gotten back into running and so has Jared, it has been fun running and watching him find the joy in running as well. He wants to run in a 5k in July and win his age division. I am much more content with just finishing. I have been running outside as well as on the treadmill. My big plans are to run a full marathon in October with a friend from work. I hope I am able to accomplish this. I know it will be challenging, but I have always wanted to do it.

Joquelle's Baptism

My daughter Joquelle got baptized this past Saturday. It was fabulous. She was able to be baptized with her cousin. It was such a special day. We had all of our friends and family come over to our house and have treats afterward. It was fun to visit and talk to everyone. Joquelle's cousin gave a talk as well as her uncle. What a great meeting. I can't believe my second child is baptized!! It makes me feel so old. Joquelle is such a special girl, we all love her so much.
